Lonesome Pine Raceway

A&G Coal Corporation Night at the Races Two races, Two poles, Two Winners and Two sets of Twins

Skyland, North Carolina (August 10, 2009) - Lonesome Pine Raceway fans watched # 75 Jody Harrison set fast time in qualifying to win the pole for both Fifty lap races.

Race # 1 saw 2008 rookie of the year Megan Reitenour lead the opening laps in her return to the series for this event.  Tyler Knuckles # 71 passed Reitenour on lap nine and set sail leading all the way to the finish for win # 4 on the year.

Race # 2 had Jody Harrison on the pole again when engine problems sent him to the trailer leaving Nuckles to start in position one.  Tyler was challenged several times by Reitenour for the lead but never gave it up. Tyler rose to the occasion and showed the way to victory lane once again winning the second race of the night. # 5 for 2009.

Congratulations to the #71 team as they continue to set the standard in the Super Cup Series.

Post race, the SCSCS community was saddened with the loss of fellow racer Charlie Canterbury.
